Monday, June 6.  Met Dr. Hy Doyle.  What an amazing guy.  He had such a high score on the MCAT that he was booted because he was messing the curve.  He also got the highest scores on the LSAT and about 8 GRE's.  He calls himself an expert at test taking.  It was amazing the stuff we could do.  He'd use logic to eliminate the wrong answers.  Taught us how to study better, theories behind studying at peak times.  I wish he would have taught us for like 20 sessions instead of 5.  Oh well.  The lunch provided was pizza one day, sandwhiches in boxes for another, and then spaghitti.  Came to the library a few times.  After 5 Waleed and I went to work out.  Did tricepts and bicepts.  Later that night I don't really remember, maybe played poker?

Tuesday June 7, Dr. Hy Doyle again.  Mneumonics and fun stuff.  Good shit.  The verbal part was still hard for us because it invovled reading stuff very carefully.  After the lectures Waleed and I headed to the gym.  Did a day of shoulders, and then lats.  got food at the hospital possibly.  I headed to JUDO class on the route 7 bus from University and 14th about 6.  got there for the kids' class.  Watched how it was run> At 7:30 I joined in with the adult class.  I didn't feel like I learned much technique, however I did learn stuff from just rendori-ing.  Cool!  After class this guy named Ta and Gordon gave me a ride home.  I felt beer because Gordon got beer but they didn't let him since I was under 21 so he had to go somewhere else. 

Wednesday June 8th was the last session with Dr. Hy Doyle.  Sad to see him go.  After, we had a the medical persoanal statement literary guy come and talk with us about writing a personal statement.  That helped a whole lot too.  Then, Dr. Lindsay talked to us about Geriatrics.  Wow.  I found myself engrossed the entire time.  Leanrned his life story and what he does.  He's a great speaker, no doubt, so maybe that's why I liked it.  geriatrics.  odd.  After Waleed and I did some leg work in the gym.  Abs too.  At 7 i convinced Waleed to go with me to Ju-Jitsu.  Lamont isn't a great teacher.  It was a lot of rolling.  Not enough technique.  After, got a ride back with Ta.  Waleed was hurting, so was I.  I got choked out a lot.  Throat was smashed too, adam's apple hurt. 

Thursday, I woke up later and heard Dr. Chevalier talk about Pediatrics.  Very intersting field.  Lots to improve on, but maybe he jsut wasn't a great speaker becasue I didn't think it was intersting.  I mean it was ok, but not great.  Grabbed lunch from the cafeteria.  Had my library orientation.  Cool, nice computers but no free printing.  I stayed in here a long time and tried to find ebooks for free!  back to my dorm a bit then to the lecture.  Some lecture I don't remember.  Afterwards, Waleed and I headed to the gym.  I think we played basketball a game, then jumped in the pool.  I didn't do much, maybe like 400m.  It feels good for like the first few strokes of freestyle.  Breatstroke feels too slow.  Intersting.  Played a lot more basketball.  My shooting is horrid.  Form goes out the window.  Downloaded ebooks.  Sweet. 

Friday morning, Dr. Lindsay brought in a lady and interviewed her, like he would commonly do for a new geriatrics patient.  Wow it was cool.  I think I could do that.  So intersting.  Heard about infectious diseases, specifically STD's.  Always changing and evolving.  Like a game.  A fast paced game.  Still didn't catch my attention all that much.  In the afternoon had some time.  Messed with the computer.  Then heard a stupid lecture on Evolution on Bio Risks.  Basically sharp needles and tools.  Right.  Then she imitated how a japanese person talked and I had mixed feelings about that.  Gym with Waleed.  Did chest.  At 5:30 I went to Judo.  Sensei brought me a gi!  Learned a whole series in which you step in, major sweep, or if taht didn't work then tai-otoshi.  Cool.  I felt better, but then again I was doing redori with weaker people than I.  back to campus.  Nothing much goign on.  I was tired so stayed in.  Poker. 

Saturday morning I got up at 10:30 and went with Jimmy, erica, Waleed, Lane, Joe C, and Jack to a middle school for a youth empowerment thing.  It had an itnersting thing at first, where she said a question and you silently moved to a side of the room.  Do you ever feel racist at times.  Then a few people were asked to speak if they liked.  Lunch then.  Great meatballs with liek a sweet teriaki sauce and great chicken like bachan makes!  Mmmmm.  The activity afterwards was retarded.  Or maybe it was the facilitators.  It was the card trading game where you tried to get as many points as you can with different combinations.  I had to sit out since I had played already.  Read. Waste of my time.  It went on for like an hour and half.  Dumb dumb dumb. AAMP ran it much better.  A nice lady fit like 6 of us into her Acura.  wow!  Back on campus, um, Waleed and I went to the gym.  Played a bunch of basketball games.  Again, I can't shoot.  Did bicepts and shoulders.  Worked our abs.  Ate dinner by getting some chinese food from the corner.  I dont' know after that.    

Took the Practice MCAT on Saturday.  it was surprisingly not so knowledged based, but more reasoning.  Physics and Chemistry part I did pretty poorly on I thought, meanign I guessed a lot, or wasn't ever really completely sure.  The next section, Verbal was horrid for me.  I couldn't concentrate and by the end I found myself not even readign the passages, just guessing.  I was so tired.  Lunch break I got re-energized and wrote two pretty shitty essays.  Then I took a Diet Pepsi and went into the BioSci part.  I fucking rocked that section I felt.  Lots of the stuff was just basic ochem stuff.  Rmemebering what hybridization Oxygen has and stuff, how to draw an entantiomer.  The stuff that got me was the bio questions about the various cycles.  Arg.  Had about 30mins to spare since I finished fast... so I checked my answers.  I got about 57 of 77 in Physics/GenChem wwhich is about an 8, fucking 23 of about 60 questions in Verbal which is a 5, and a 61 of 77 in the last section BioChem good for about a 10.  So my total MCAT score was about 23 of 45.  I need about a 32 to have a really good chance.  Not bad I felt.  had pizza afterwards and heard from the RA's.  Then Waleed, Lane, and I went to the Memorial gym.  They played tennis and the gym was closed, so I walked to the ASF center.  Did my usual chest workout and threw in Ab's and forearms too.  It closed early so walked back.  Waleed, Lane, Jack, and I walked to the Corner and got these Gus's Burger which had an egg which was really good.  Went to all the shops that were open trying to get 50 pennys, Waleed got about $2 worth and I got .50 worth.  Back to the room and played Hold 'em.  I won woot.  Then went to a party in Alia's room and got some straight rum.  Danced and stuff and had a pretty good time.  Watched some crazy stuff let me tell ya.  back to the room about 1:30am, showered and played on my comp till I was sober about 4. 

Sunday I got woken up by Waleed about 1:30pm and was told there was a hospital tour.  The cool RA Tonya took my group around.  Saw the gross anatomy lab and I was feeling queezy.  Saw babies in jar's too, real dead baby fetuses and partially developed ones.  The worst was the fetus/ baby that had the disorder of non-strechy skin.  eh.  Saw the medical student hang-out room, then abotu 4:30 Waleed, the Puerto Rico guy, and aLane and I ate in the cafeteria, good cheap food.  Waleed and I walked to get his athletic pass, walked to the AFC, then we did a bicept/tricept workout together.  Finished abotu 6:40 so we jumped in the pool for about 10min then in the hot tub till 6:57 when it closed.  Walked back.  Tonya and the other RA deirdre took us to a Salsa club!  I tried to get my classmates out dancing and it was so amazing, they all danced, even all the guys!  Without hardly knowing anything they were out there doing the basic.  One random really tall girl asked me to dance becasue she saw I was decent.  Hah.  At 11 Tonya took the guys in my car to get Wendy's ate in the room.  I played our new come roommate Luis chess and he destroyed me.  Then about 1am I watched Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind.  Holy shit what a kind of cool yet crazy movie.  I need to watch the ending again.  Sleep after talking with mi lovely love Loo till 3:40am. 

So, Wednesday I was up and Bryan was the only person out of RT, Largo, and Susie who was still at my house.  RT came over about 11:30pm and we then headed over to JB Golf Course.  Played their 9 holes.  RT was like, on par until he blew open one hole and I took the lead.  Stopped and got some candy bars before playing some of the last few holes.  Hah, I ended up beating Bryan barely.  After that, we came back and then I headed to Susie's house.  Largo, Sus and I chilled by the pool.  Then Susie and I duked it out in Egyptian Rat Slap.  I talked so much shit to her, and then I beat her twice!  Hah, then we played poker and I cleaned them up too.  Boy was I laying down the smack to Susie.  She was pissed.  At 6:20 I left and went back to the house.  Bachan and Jichan had been waiting there for a while.  Finished packing.  THen, about 7:30 I drove with them to the Pleasanton BART station.  Got food at Burger King.  At 9:18 I caught the train to SFO.  It was actually kind of a long walk to the terminal.  The plane left on time at 12:40am and I had a seat next to a guy who had took a few week trip to Asia and stuff.  Slept the rest of the way.  Got up in Minniapolis.  Not too long of a wait and then I left for Detroit at about 6:40am their time.  Slept too. Got there and I waited in the terminal.  I slept in the terminal too.  Hah, it wasn't until 1:00 or so that we left there.  The plane was so sketchy.  There was too much wait for the two small propellar plane, so they actually had to kick a few people off.  The plane was yawing from the wind since it was so small.  Really rough and scary ride.  Wacky.  Got here to Charlottesville on time about 3:40.  Met Elaine from MAAP there.  Took a taxi back with Brianna.  They charged us for crazy things like # of bags.  Wow.  Got to MAAp and checked into my room.  Waleed and Lane and Jimmy were my roomies.  They seemed cool and stuff. Ended up walking with Jack and Jimmy to a chinese restaurant and eating.  Genearal Tso's chicken was good.  Back to the room.  Organized.  Jack and I played like three games of chess and I won easily.  Learned about how to use Bittorrent and BitLord.  Beat Waleed and Jimmy similtaneously at chess, then Jimmy beat me 1v1.  bout it.

Friday was the first day of classes.  We heard from Dr. Wood who is the leader and the other faculty.  Heard about patient privacy for the only 4 hours we will be in the ER getting experience.  BS.  Introduced ourselves to each other, all 120 of us.  Grabbed a box lunch.  Met Brandon, Richard de Harvard, Bryan the wrestler, Ryan the 18 year old H.S. graduate.  Then we took our ID pictures.  Waited around.  Took the bus to the picnic.  Got people tossing a disc.  I played this guy Rocky two games of chess and as soon as I had lost a few pieces I gave up each game.  Damn he's good.   Back from the picnic Lane and I played tennis by Memorial gym.  Took the bus to check out the Aquatic and Fitness center for a bit.  Wow.  Back.  Played some chess.  I dled stuff.  Jeez I don't know any more.  chess at night.

I can't remmeber what has happened in weeks past.  Finals was the worst week.  I blew dick at Physics with a 75 and my grade dropped to a fucking B+ in Micro.  But my grade did rise to a B in Stats which was welcomed!  Held onto my A in Ochem.  That was all the A's though.  Fuck.  5 days and 5 finals not so good.  So packed up some Friday.  Saturday I packed up a whole lot.  Sunday we went to Disneyland with Can and Sara!  They wanted to leave before the fireworks but I made them stay haha.  It was a timed display with themes and all.  Kim and I worked out way into the Oldenborg center and we made all her leftowver food in the main kitchen.  Then, we went to sleep on the sofa's so we wouldn't get charged. 

In the morning, I was woken by a security guard since the oldenborg managers had called them to kick us out.  Getting charged like flippin $75 bucks.  Fuck.  Anyways, we drove to get Little bean for Kim and ended up eating at a place next door under Happy Family.   

Then we drove to Morongo and gambled.  hah, i wasn't doing bad on the Nickel machines, then again I wasn't doing so well either.  Played a round of Craps with about $40 and then lost it really fast.  Back to the room.  Tried to hit up the outlets but they were closing.  Got cheap board shorts however.  Back to the Casino and ate dinner at Panda Express.  Gambled and lost more.  Finally, went back after a shower.  Black Jack with Kim who was acting annoying.  Played Craps and lost like $80.  Wow, so lost about $120 total.  I was doing well on one good run of Craps.  No dice they had, so they were just pulling cards.    Back to the room.  What a great nice giganitic bed.  So cool. 

After drove back to the airport and dropped Kim off.  Sad.  Walked her to the escalator.  I started my drive home after hanging in the computer lab for a long time.

Today, Thursday 4-14-05, Up at 6am.  Studied in my room for Spanish.  At 7:30 ate crossantwich at Scripps whcih was very good.  Actally getting the hang of multiple regressions in Stats.  Micro, bad sign since even though I was interested, falling asleep.  Rough as fuck spanish test.  Holy shit, just finished now, luckily Torin called me to work.  SO I'm working now. 

Yesterday, Wednesday 4-13, had the usuals. Started at 7 with Ballroom practice till 8:45.  Finished Ochem, Higdon doesn't even make fun of me in Physics anymroe.  OR rishi.  Maybe becasue we doing shitty.  Ochem.  Spanish I thought went ok with the newer stuff.  After, I took a like 35 min nap on my back in my room with no sheets cuz I hadn't made the bed.  Physics lab.  Didn't so shit again.  At 3 I went to prepare my two samples of Shikimic Acid + Pseudoephedrine.  Took so long.  After, had the nurse check my TB test negative.  Threw at the women's ultimate practice.  At 6:30 Kim came and sat with me while I ate in Frary.  Headed to BTC and studied Spnish with Rishi.  Gave him my 10pm to midnight shift, went to Kim's room at 9:10, showered, and went to sleep with her.  Glorious.  Genevive next door was really loud with friends but I slept through it. 

Tuesday: Um, Stats and Micro that I do not remember well.  Spanish something.  Haha, ganaria, conditional form of ganar.  Greatness.  Hmm, after I ate my lunch, then spent the afternoon in lab.  Poon dropped in from time to time to evaluate.  What happened was, we got the Shikimic acid and pseudoephedrine to melt together into a salt (we think), but the samples decomposed when we tried to melt IT.  So about 5:30 I was done.  Ate or something.  Had a study abroad thing about China at 7.  Went to Frisbee after that.  Boy I absolutely suck at give and goes.  At 10 back to the room.  Went to the lab meeting where I scored a few shifts.   Did physics.  Kim was there a bit.  She left.  HW.   Practiced ballrooming with Kim till about 2. 

Monday.  Had some rehersal, it was Salsa Michaella I think. Fun routine, short.  Physics I do not remember.  Ate with Kim in Frary before that though.  Ohcem.  Span.  Ok, I rmemeber, went to the doctor's office and got a TB skin puffer test and Typhoid Pills.  After, um, I dunno.  May have slept or soemthing.  Had a shift at 10pm.  Got nothing done with Adrian here.  Kim came to keep me company.  After my shift I waited for her in her room.  Fun in. 

Sunday.  What what, I woke up late, that I remmeber.  Oh, took Kim to eat at the Sushi to go place but it was closed.  Ate at a Thai BBQ place I saw.  Weird fried rice. Not impressed.  THe taste of the ribs was good tho.  After, saw Capezio and thne Kim went in Ross, she paged me on the loudspeaker, "michael, please come to the front desk, your girlfriend is waiting.".  Great.  back to campus.  Studied for something.  Yea yea, um, no idea.  Crap.

Saturday.  Woke up late is a good guess.  Don't rmember.  Um, towards the evening Kim called her frineds together in her room.  Drank and stuff.  Walked to the swing jam.  I made Mariell dizzy.  Got cotton candy.  Headed to TQ night at mud.  Got two big cups of Tequila sunrise.  Chugged them.  Wow, so I was all set.  Danced.  twas fun.  Left about 12 after calling paul an asshole.  Hehe.  to matt's room.  Kim said that I made her wait but in reality, not really.  So Case had been hitting on kim for months, which convieniently ended (Ie no more IM's) soemtime when he started liking alice.  yep.  not so happy heading down. 

Friday.  shit.  Um, I remember finishing my report in time.  Lab.  It took blinking forever.  Even though I was so far ahead of everyone, my compound never really evaporated all the way leaving a residue like everyonoe else's.  Arg.  cell for lab 70 19 now!  woot.  After lab, um, eh.  Yea.  man bad memory.  I have no idea.
